The short version
Blind Boxdle is a free, independent daily guessing game. Your individual guesses, result records, statistics, streaks, and tutorial preference are saved in your browser so the game can remember you without an account. Those local records stay on your device.
We use Google Analytics for product analytics and Google AdSense to support the site with advertising. Those Google services may receive technical and usage information and may use cookies or similar technologies. We do not ask for your name or create player accounts. Our custom analytics events are designed not to include figure searches, figure names, answer IDs, email addresses, or a custom persistent player ID.
Information we collect
Game data stored on your device
Blind Boxdle uses your browser’s local storage to remember daily guesses, game results, statistics, streaks, and whether you dismissed the tutorial. This data remains on your device and is not sent to us as a local record during normal game play. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
Analytics data
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand whether the game works and which features are useful. This can include page and collection views, game starts and completions, guess counts, outcomes, hint and share usage, session and engagement information, device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and error categories.
Google explains that Analytics uses identifiers such as cookies and app instance IDs. Google Analytics may use an IP address to derive location, but says it does not log or store individual IP addresses. Our custom events intentionally exclude search text, figure names, answer IDs, email addresses, and a custom persistent player identifier.
Advertising data
We use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your visit to Blind Boxdle and, where permitted, your visits to other sites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve personalized advertising. Other certified ad vendors may also participate in ad delivery, subject to your choices and Google’s settings.
Technical logs and messages
Our hosting, security, and infrastructure providers may automatically process request details such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and error or security logs. If you choose to email us, we receive your email address, message, and any other information you include.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- run the game and remember progress on your device;
- measure site usage and improve puzzles, features, and accessibility;
- display, personalize where permitted, and measure advertising;
- detect errors, fraud, abuse, and security problems;
- respond to messages and metadata reports; and
- meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
Cookies, consent, and your choices
Analytics and advertising technologies may store or read cookies and similar identifiers. Depending on your location, consent may be required before some of these technologies are used. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect advertising or remembered settings.

Retention and international processing
Browser-only game data stays on your device until you clear it. Analytics, advertising, hosting, and security data is retained under our provider settings and the providers’ retention policies. Messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
Google and other providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Privacy protections and lawful access rules in those countries may differ from those where you live.
Children
Blind Boxdle is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify a request before responding.
Because Blind Boxdle has no player accounts and we intentionally avoid sending direct identifiers in custom analytics events, we may be unable to associate an analytics record with you. Google’s account and advertising controls may provide additional access or deletion options.
Third-party services and fan-project status
Ads and links may take you to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their operators, not Blind Boxdle. Review their notices before providing information. Character names, images, and trademarks used for the game belong to their respective rights holders; Blind Boxdle is an independent fan project and is not endorsed by those rights holders.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the game, providers, or laws change. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site when appropriate.
